For Publishers

Bring Printed Language Content to Life

Emurse is uniquely suited to act as a digital companion to printed language materials.  Existing printed materials like textbooks, workbooks, and flashcards can be connected to Emurse.  Instead of forcing learners into a separate, disconnected experience, your printed materials can seamlessly integrate audio, pronunciation tools, and interactive practice through Emurse.

Page-Level Linking Between Print and Interactive Content

Emurse supports direct links to specific lessons, activities, and term lists.

This makes it possible to create a seamless bridge between printed media and interactive learning:

  • Link a word in a textbook directly to its pronunciation, pitch contour, or example sentence
  • Send learners from a workbook exercise to a targeted drill on Emurse
  • Let students jump straight into the exact lesson that corresponds to a page or chapter

Whether accessed via QR codes, short URLs, or embedded hyperlinks in eBooks, Emurse turns static print into an interactive learning system.

A Platform Built for Blended Instruction

Emurse isn’t just a digital product, it’s a bridge between physical media and interactive learning.

For publishers, this means:

  • Extending the lifespan and value of existing titles.
  • Offering companion experiences without building custom apps from scratch.
  • Supporting modern learning expectations while preserving proven print formats.

Turn Existing Materials into Interactive Courses

If you already have published materials, you don’t need to start from scratch.

We work with publishers to evaluate existing textbooks, workbooks, and supplementary media and recommend the best way to implement them on Emurse.

You can choose to:

  • Consult with us on structure, lesson design, and interactive exercises.
  • Hand off your materials entirely and let us convert them into a fully interactive Emurse course.

Your course can include:

  • Structured lessons and units
  • Recordings of vocabulary and phrases
  • Interactive exercises
  • Pronunciation and listening drills
  • Companion tools that reinforce what learners see on the page

Case Studies

Reading Thai Made Easy

Reading Thai Made Easy is an eBook published on Amazon.  It was built using the Emurse course of the same name. When a word or phrase appears for the first time in the eBook, a numbered link appears next to it.

Depending on the reader’s device:

  • They can listen to the pronunciation directly if their device supports hyperlinks.
  • They can use the book’s web-based companion experience to access the same content.

The book was initially generated using the Emurse eBook creator, then refined using professional eBook authoring tools to ensure compatibility with devices like Amazon Kindle.  This approach allows the publisher to create their course on Emurse and deliver it as an eBook.

Cardio Flashcard App

Cardio is an Emurse app designed to work with physical flashcards, not replace them. Using your device's camera, Cardio scans printed flashcards and instantly displays more information.  This can include pronunciation audio, phonetic information and additional context and learning aids.

Learners get the tactile sensation of flipping through physical cards but can easily pull up more information in a fraction of a second by scanning the card.  Cardio demonstrates how Emurse can extend traditional learning tool like paper flashcards into a rich interactive system without changing how learners already study.
